As artificial intelligence (AI), cloud and smart sensors accelerate transformation, the rules of the “new normal in security” are being rewritten.

Building on the advantages that security technologies will provide in the coming years, Securitas Technology has released its 2026 Global Technology Trends Report, which takes the pulse of the sector. The report reveals how artificial intelligence, cloud solutions and sensor technologies will transform security investments.

Winds of Change in Security Technologies

Securitas Technology Central Europe President Ismail Uzelli emphasizes that security investments will make a significant leap in the coming period. According to Uzelli, while around 30% of companies now aim to integrate AI into their daily operations, advanced sensor technologies are at the center of this transformation.

“Companies are no longer just managing risks, but demanding integrated solutions that add value to their processes,” says Uzelli, highlighting that technology’s role in the security sector is fundamentally changing.

A Roadmap for Businesses

Securitas Technology Turkey General Manager Pelin Yelkencioğlu notes that the report provides a roadmap for companies. “Security is no longer just a protective shield; with the power of AI, cloud and sensor technologies, it has become a critical element that enhances operational efficiency, sustainability and strategic value,” says Yelkencioğlu, emphasizing that Securitas Technology’s 2026 Report aims to prepare organizations for the future.

According to the report, the time has come for organizations to take action to create new efficiency areas by adopting technology and to maximize security in their environments. The message “the power to remain competitive in this period lies in the courage shown in embracing technology” stands out.

AI: The Driving Force Behind the Shift from Reactive to Proactive

Artificial intelligence (AI) currently plays a central role in security technologies. Systems are leaving behind the era of video monitoring for a period and generating false alarms, and are being used across a wide spectrum from license plates to alarm systems, from management to design. AI-powered applications such as object detection and object tracking are becoming widespread in security scenarios.
