Vertiv and GreenScale Announce Strategic Partnership for AI Data Centers in Europe

Critical digital infrastructure solutions provider Vertiv and hyperscale data center campus developer GreenScale have launched a strategic partnership to deploy factory-integrated data center platforms designed for AI workloads across Europe.

Following a competitive pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) process, GreenScale selected Vertiv as its technology partner for AI-focused Vertiv™ OneCore hybrid data center solutions. Under the partnership, GreenScale will manage site infrastructure and foundation construction works, while Vertiv will supply AI-ready data center modules supporting liquid cooling installations for NVIDIA Grace Blackwell GB200/300 GPUs and next-generation Vera Rubin GPUs.

Vedran Brzić, Vice President of Infrastructure Solutions EMEA at Vertiv, stated, “AI workloads bring high-density and speed requirements. By integrating the Vertiv OneCore platform into GreenScale’s standard design, we are accelerating the deployment of scalable infrastructure for AI, high-performance computing, and high-density computing scenarios.”

The Vertiv™ OneCore platform supports power densities exceeding 200 kW per cabinet and features coolant distribution units (CDUs) with dual-circuit liquid cooling architecture. The platform is completed with the Vertiv™ SmartRun prefabricated overhead infrastructure system, which includes an integrated secondary fluid network (SFN) encompassing liquid-cooled thermal management and power distribution optimized for GPU-intensive architectures.

Data center modules are manufactured and tested at the factory before being shipped to site. GreenScale manages all on-site operations, including grid connections, permitting processes, battery management systems (BMS), security infrastructure, and foundation construction works.

GreenScale plans to expand capacity by approximately 120 MW in Northern Ireland and over 300 MW in the Nordic countries. Long-term targets include deploying approximately 1 GW of infrastructure across Europe.
