First dual-speed screw compressor GA FLX delivers 20% greater efficiency

Atlas Copco Compressor Technology, which has pioneered the industry by continuously improving its technology since the day it introduced the first piston compressor in 1904, introduced GA FLX, the first dual-speed screw compressor that will change the fixed speed compressor market. Offering more energy saving compared to traditional fixed speed compressors, GA FLX provides 20% efficiency compared to standard compressors.

Atlas Copco Compressor Technique introduced GA FLX, the first dual-speed stage screw compressor that will transform the fixed speed compressor market, at its online launch event. While introducing the first dual-speed GA FLX with a new technology, Compressor Technique Product and Marketing Manager Özgün Başçoban said, “With the GA FLX compressor type with new technology, we offer our customers a compressor that consumes less energy than traditional type compressors.” During the online launch, Başçoban informed that GA FLX is among traditional fixed speed and VSD compressors in terms of its operation and positioning. GA FLX was developed to help Atlas Copco and its customers achieve their scientifically based environmental goals.

GA FLX reveals its difference with its 5 different features. Being able to operate at two speeds makes GA FLX 20% more efficient than a fixed-speed compressor. Thanks to much lower “transfer losses” and special design, the blowdown operates without air loss (blow off). Secondly, it provides users with optimum operation at any operating pressure without compromising flow rate (FAD). As a third feature, GA FLX takes up 50 percent less space. Fourthly, thanks to the Elektronikon Touch touch screen control module, the compressor operates with advanced monitoring and superior efficiency. The fifth and last feature is; GA FLX offers a wide range of options to tailor your compressor to your specific needs, from integrated UD+ filter to energy recovery.
