IT sector in Türkiye is growing with artificial intelligence and cloud computing
The IT sector in Türkiye has gained great momentum in recent years and has made significant strides, especially in software and service exports. While the total export value of the sector reached 58 billion TL in 2023, the increase in the number of technoparks contributed to the increase in innovative initiatives in the sector. Paperwork Sales Director Tolga Eşiz stated that they are an important part of this dynamic growth in Türkiye ‘s IT sector and that the sector has achieved an average annual growth rate of 22%.

Tolga Eşiz stated that digital transformation, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and cyber security are among the prominent trends in the Turkish IT sector as of 2024. Emphasizing that digital transformation is a preferred way to increase the efficiency of both public and private sector organizations, Eşiz emphasized that cloud computing and big data analytics contribute to the modernization of business processes. He also stated that new generation technologies such as 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT) are rapidly spreading in Türkiye and are being used in smart city projects.

Stating that tools such as GenAI allow for the analysis of unstructured data and help organizations make more conscious business decisions, Eşiz emphasized that legal regulations and ethical studies regarding AI are also rapidly developing in Türkiye .
