Seco proudly announces the launch of the new 0.38 Finishing Face Mill system, designed for high-precision surface milling applications. With its ready-to-use simplicity, hybrid flexibility, and advanced adjustability, the system ensures flawless results and efficient performance across a wide range of finishing operations.

Precision Meets Simplicity

The 0.38 Finishing Face Mill / SNFX1204 system is available in three models, each tailored to different levels of control and performance: fixed pocket, hybrid, and adjustable. Whether the priority is ease of setup or exceptional surface finish, the system offers a practical and versatile solution.

Two insert geometries address diverse machining demands:

• 88° entering angle inserts for near-wall operations.
• 27° entering angle inserts for high feed rates and open surface machining.

This flexibility enables manufacturers to tackle a wide variety of finishing challenges while keeping processes simple and cost-effective.

Three Models, Three Solutions

• Fixed Pocket Cutter (R220.38-….-SN-..SA): Designed for straightforward use with no setup required. The inclined screw design delivers excellent insert self-seating and high runout accuracy (4–15 µm), minimizing operator error and training needs.
• Hybrid Cutter (R220.38-….-SN-..CSA): Combines fixed and adjustable cartridge pockets, allowing the cutter to perform like a fixed pocket tool. Cartridge inserts act as dedicated wipers to enhance surface finish, offering flexibility without additional complexity.
• Adjustable Cutter (R220.38-….-SN-..HSA): Provides exceptional control with precision adjustment reaching runout values as low as 0–2 µm, making it ideal for demanding applications where surface finish cannot be compromised.
