thyssenkrupp Elevator as elevator supplier of Istanbul subway lines

thyssenkrupp Elevator won the tenders for elevators and escalators for the Ataköy-İkitelli and Kirazlı-Bakırköy IDO subway lines.

thyssenkrupp Elevator will provide a mobility solution for these two new subway lines with a total of 71 elevators, 216 escalators, and 6 moving walkways.

thyssenkrupp Elevator has become the elevator, escalator and moving band supplier of the Ataköy-İkitelli Subwayto be implemented by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and the Kirazlı-Bakırköy IDO subway lines, the project of the Ministry of Transport. Thyssenkrupp Elevator delivered 45 elevators, 116 escalators, 6 moving walkways to the Ataköy-İkitelli subway line within the scope of the tender; With 26 elevators and 100 escalators to the Kirazlı-Bakırköy subway line, it will allow the people of Istanbul to travel quickly and safely.

In the new subway lines, which will be one of the most important projects of the city with their stops and lengths, high performance, and high carrying capacity Victorian model escalators used in subway projects in Europe, Asia and America will be used. The heavy-duty Victoria escalator, designed for uninterrupted service and mobility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, will provide users with a high safety travel opportunity in all climatic conditions. The elevators, developed for high safety and carrying capacity, will be a solution to the mobility of areas such as the subway, with the feature of 180 movements per hour, as well as meeting European norms.
