What is a Gear Pump?
A gear pump is a positive displacement pump that uses rotating gears to move fluid. It's one of the most common types of pumps used in industrial applications for transferring viscous fluids.

Key Process: As the gears rotate, they create expanding chambers on the inlet side (suction) and contracting chambers on the outlet side (discharge), providing continuous fluid flow.
How It Works
The operation principle is elegantly simple:
Step 1: Fluid enters through the inlet as gear teeth separate, creating suction
Step 2: Fluid is trapped between gear teeth and pump housing
Step 3: Rotating gears carry fluid from inlet to outlet
Step 4: Gear teeth mesh together, forcing fluid out through the outlet
