Toyota Motor Manufacturing Türkiye (TMMT) will temporarily suspend production at its Sakarya plant from 3 to 17 August for scheduled maintenance, overhaul and modernisation work. The programme aims to strengthen the plant’s manufacturing infrastructure and improve operational efficiency.

One of Toyota’s largest production facilities in Europe, the Sakarya plant will undergo maintenance of its production lines, upgrades to technical systems and infrastructure modernisation during the planned shutdown.

As an important part of Toyota’s global manufacturing network, the facility operates with advanced production technologies and high quality standards. The planned work is expected to enhance production continuity, efficiency and competitiveness.

With approximately 5,000 employees and an extensive network of suppliers and business partners, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Türkiye makes a significant contribution to the country’s automotive industry. In addition to its production and export capacity, the company places environmental and social sustainability at the centre of its manufacturing strategy.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Türkiye ranks fifth in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry’s “Türkiye’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises” list and second in the Turkish Exporters Assembly’s “Türkiye’s Top 1,000 Exporters” survey. The company continues to maintain its leading position in Türkiye’s automotive industry through its production capacity, export performance and environmentally responsible manufacturing approach.
