RoboDyn Software Based on Hardware Quality of Leica Absolute Tracker to Make Industrial Robot Calibration and Test More Rigorous and Efficient
Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence introduced its new solution for calibration and performance testing of industrial robot systems. Created in collaboration with the developers of SpatialAnalyzer, the RoboDyn software package works with the Leica Absolute Tracker, which allows direct calculation of robot characteristics such as base and vehicle alignment and full DH parameters. Positioning accuracy is expressed according to the rigorous ISO 9283 certification standard.
The software’s calibration module provides a fast and intuitive process for aligning the robot with the laser tracking system, and the robot’s kinematic configuration calibrates to improve absolute positioning accuracy. The ISO test module enables performance testing in accordance with ISO 9283 standards, while the simulation module enables an offline path before connecting to the physical system by modeling and analyzing problems in the line of sight.
