GNC Makina General Manager Gökhan Yıldız stated that they set out to highlight craftsmanship in the industry, encourage young talent, and earn the respect this profession deserves, and that they aimed to achieve these goals with the CNC Masters competition.

The CNC Masters competition, held for the first time this year, concluded successfully. The finalists, who successfully passed the rigorous competition process, received their awards.

GNC Makina General Manager Gökhan Yıldız stated that with CNC Masters, they aimed to introduce the hidden labor and mastery of the CNC operating profession to a wider segment of society.

“We designed CNC Masters not only to create a competitive environment but also to identify and promote talent within the sector,” said Yıldız. Operators from all over Turkey passed the elimination rounds and demonstrated their mastery in the finals. The competition evaluated not only technical skills but also skills such as problem-solving and analytical thinking. He explained that this allows them to showcase the multifaceted skills required for the profession to society.

“CNC operating is a profession that requires many skills.”

This profession must be given the respect it deserves. If people recognize the labor behind the parts they use, interest in this profession will increase. The competition strengthens operators’ self-confidence, boosts their social prestige, and strengthens their sense of professional belonging. This development will positively contribute to the quality of the sector and the country’s economy in the long run. A large portion of industry and production in Türkiye is shaped by the labor of CNC operators. Increasing interest in this profession not only provides a solution to the employment problem but also supports a high-quality workforce. This increases Türkiye’s added value in production and strengthens the country’s position in global markets.

Yıldız said, “We aim to further develop and make CNC Masters a tradition in the coming years.”

We know that the CNC operator profession can be practiced even in the northernmost part of Türkiye.
We made a strong start with CNC Masters to realize this potential. With the first competition behind us, we began to observe the impact on the sector. However, this is only the beginning. We plan to further develop and make CNC Masters a tradition in the coming years. We want to make this competition a platform that will perpetuate the culture of craftsmanship in the sector and inspire new generations. We will continue to work more comprehensively and strongly in the coming period to maintain interest in the CNC operator profession and to further spread this awareness.
