For the second time, Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) Expert earned the highest possible ‘Total Accuracy’ score in the Enterprise Advanced Security test for EDR solutions by SE Labs.
The Global Endpoint Detection and Response Market continues to grow and is expected to reach a global size of $7.1 billion by 2028. As the number of threats increases and attacks become more sophisticated, it is important for companies to have reliable detection and response solutions to protect business environments across all devices.
Independent security testing organization SE Labs conducted sixteen full-chain attacks based on four different advanced persistent threats (APTs) – Turla, Ke3chang, Kimsuky and ThreatGroup3390 – against six market-leading EDR products to evaluate their detection capabilities. These attacks were applied to six leading EDR products based on their actual attacker behavior. Each product is reviewed at different stages, from penetration and permission escalation to deployment and data export within the corporate network.
Kaspersky EDR Expert was able to detect each of the sixteen attacks at all stages and achieved 100% ‘Total Accuracy Score’, achieving the maximum possible score of 1188. This score came from the product’s ‘Detection Accuracy’ and ‘Legitimate Accuracy’ ratings, meaning it not only detected every stage of attacks, but also avoided producing any false positives. The Kaspersky solution was awarded the highest possible ‘AAA’ rating.
“Independent testing allows us to check the quality of our solutions and confirm the company’s success in keeping up with the evolving threat landscape. We are excited that SE Labs has recognized the outstanding capabilities of Kaspersky EDR Expert. This proves that we are moving in the right direction.”
“Kaspersky has consistently performed well in SE Labs’ advanced security tests from the very beginning. Our tests expose products to standard and advanced threats faced by businesses and individuals around the world. This is extremely important,” said Simon Edwards, Founder and CEO of SE Labs. It’s a challenging process and it’s highly commendable that Kaspersky has a proven track record of success.”
Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Expert provides comprehensive visibility into all endpoints in a company’s corporate network. It also provides superior defense by automating routine EDR tasks, enabling analysts to quickly detect, prioritize, investigate, and neutralize complex threats and APT-like attacks.
