MİB represented the Turkish machinery industry at the CECIMO spring meetings held in Finland

The Machinery Manufacturers Association (MİB), which has been operating in the entire machinery sector since 1990 to protect the interests of domestic machinery manufacturers and to support domestic machinery production, continues uninterruptedly together with the families of the Turkish machinery industry in global markets.

The Machinery Manufacturers Association (MIB) attended the Spring Meetings organized by the European Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (CECIMO) at the family’s Tampere headquarters.

While representatives of CECIMO member associations and sector representatives attended the CECIMO General Assembly and Spring Meetings, MIB was represented by Secretary General Zülfikar Kılıç and EAE Makina General Manager Mustafa Selçuk Baydar in the 4-day events.

Economic Committee discussions were held

At the event, the Economic Committee discussed the significant performance in the machinery and machine tools sector and the economic outlook in CECIMO countries.

Marcus Burton, Chairman of the Economic Committee, presented projections for machinery demand, while Penna Urrila from Teknologiateollisuus presented a detailed assessment of the global economic outlook. CECIMO’s economist Tommaso Lolli analyzed the economic environment shaping agriculture in detail.

Within the scope of the organization, world-leading visitors such as Sandvik and Fastems Nokia also had the opportunity to have productive meetings and network during their visits.

Durable performance and optimistic outlook

The resilient performance of the European machine tool industry in 2023 was also highlighted at the CECIMO General Assembly.

It is emphasized that the sector draws attention with its adaptability and growth despite political and economic changes, while European machine tool production increased by 7% in 2023, reaching 27.2 billion euros, and output increased by 23% in the fourth half of 2023, with the USA and China as the largest markets. It was shared that it was determined.

During the organization, which ended with the Gala Dinner at Finlayson Palace, consultations and presentations were made, and the importance of collective forces in climate change was emphasized.

“We continue to contribute to the sustainable growth of manufacturing technologies.”

Stating that the CECIMO Spring Meetings were very productive on behalf of MIB, MIB Secretary General Zülfikar Kılıç said, “As MIB, we contribute to the Turkish machinery sectors and accelerate and continue our representation in the international arena. In this sense, it continues to contribute to the sustainable growth and advancement of manufacturing technologies.”

On the other hand, the organization renewed its commitment to innovation, cooperation and sustainable growth in European manufacturing technologies. During these meetings, the information obtained and the services provided form a solid foundation in the process of achieving future success in the global arena and evaluating opportunities.
